If you fall at least 30 feet onto a creature, you may make a special Plunging attack. To perform a plunging attack, you must have Inspiration, or Spend a Hero or Villain Point to perform the attack.
Make a single weapon attack against the target; On a success, the creature takes the weapon's damage roll, half the fall damage as the weapon's damage type.
On a failed attack, the attacker takes the full damage from the fall.
A creature can only perform a single plunging attack per turn.
Example:
A Successful plunging attack from 50 feet with a Greataxe would incur half of 5d6 fall damage as slashing damage to the enemy. The attacker would take the remaining damage as bludgeoning damage.
Conflicts and Interactions:
Monk's Slow Fall: Reduces the Damage Prior to the attack. Reduces damage for attacker and victim.
Feather Fall: Reduces all Fall Damage. Reduces Fall speed. Reduces non-attack damage to 0 for attacker and victim
Barbarian Rage: Reduces damage as normal after the plunging attack.
